Born in 1914 in France, Pierre Blamain was a fashion designer renowned for sophistication and an unique concept of elegance. He once said that “tailoring is the architecture of movement”. His clientele consists of royalty and film stars, and a fashion hallmark recognized throughout the world. With the disappearance of Pierre Balmain in 1982, the torch was passed to Erik Mortensen - his personal assistant since 1951 and his closest colaborator - who maintained the traditions of the House while developing and updating styles and designs in the spirit of its founder.
The designer Elisabetta Franchi was born in Bologna and her creative activity began in the 1990s when she founded the company Betty Blue Spa. Based on a profound exploration of contemporary trends and observation of metropolitan taste, in 1998 the stylist established Celyn b, a brand dedicated to the feminine universe and with a name that evokes the elegance of Parisian style. She transforms the Celyn b brand into Elisabetta Franchi, in order to fully identify the style conceived and created by the designer with her own name.
